  • You know how to not just translate, but convey the essence, mood, and character of the text.
  • You understand cultural codes, idioms, and when it’s better not to translate literally.

✏️What you will have to do:

  • Translate texts from/to German (marketing, communications, documentation, correspondence).
  • Adapt the style to the target audience – from serious business to a light lifestyle.
  • Check other people’s translations (a little perfectionism doesn’t hurt).

  • Communicate with customers/users (mostly in writing, sometimes orally).
  • Guide the client through the process: from “left a request” to “received the result.”
  • Coordinate requests between teams: if something goes into development, design, or sales, you’ll be in the know.
  • Control deadlines, responsible parties, and feedback.
  • Keep the client informed: at what stage the request is, what has already been done, when to expect the next step.
